I had been meaning to do a Large Pro mix for a long time and then Doobz decided that maybe we should do a Extra-P v's Buckwild mix, so we all went off and pulled out some of our favourite tracks from both of these heavy weights and pressed record. All recorded live off of vinyl and as usual freestyled, so there is a few little technical issues (technical meaning i was too busy talking and didnt realize the track was about to end). So here it is in all of its flawed glory! Tracks from DITC, Common, Sadat X, Channel Live, Funkdoobiest, Common, Beastie Boys, Artifacts, Diamond D, Brand Nubian, A.T.C.Q, Guru and more!
My good friend and all round nice girl Axil made this mix for Wax Museum Records here in Adelaide, I have listened to it so much already over summer, well put together, awesome eclectic range and quality all the way through makes this a sure shot!
Well I have been talking about it for quite a while but it is actually getting closer, we have almost (finally!) finished mixing and now just need to take the record to mastering to clean it up a little. So in honor of getting this far I have put together a mini mix of some of the tracks from the LP. Feel free to leave constructive criticism. I also have another awesome mix to post in the coming days so stay tuned!
Have had a very productive day in the studio today, so I thought I would post up some stuff I have been working on lately. Every thing is unmixed/mastered, so its pretty raw, but for now its all I got.
this one still needs another key line, but I have been messing with the arrangement and drums so I thought I would put it up for some feedback. Bass is courtesy of Mr Evan Whetter
What is a strictly vintage throw back mix you ask? Well for this one a few of us got together and pulled out some of our personal favorite 90's era tracks, some well known and some not so well know, lots of double copies and mistakes and all recorded live! Free download as usual
This is the mix that myself and my good friend Inkswel made together a few weeks ago, all edits were done in house, all off of original vinyl pressing's, so no mp3's were harmed in the making in this Boogie Bash Mixtape! free download (you know it!) I try to keep my content as exclusive as possible, by which I mean mixes that either I have done or a close friend has handed to me. This way I dont have post here that you can see on 100 other blogs, but every now and then I make an exception, and this mix, this is one of those times!
