Hot Buttered Sole.

This is a mix that ocky gave me quite a while ago, lots of laid back funk and soul, it has a few great tracks that are reasonably well known, but you dont hear very often on mixtapes

Brazilian Wax

Another mix great mix from dj ocky, this one centering around brazilian music, I listen to this nearly every sunday morning while i drink my coffee, and get my son ready to go to the flea markets to look for records, highly recommended!

2006 in the mix

This is one from the vaults!
Recorded some time in 2006, straight from the mixer to mini disk, this was myself and Sammy_B doing our thing at the Bull and Bear in Adelaide, i think the whole recording goes for around 5 hours, this is just part 1 and runs a little over 3 hours, if there is enough (any?) response i will post the other files
enjoy

The Genius that was

Francis Wolff took so many of my favourite pictures, i needed to post a few, I am sure you already know he took many of the blue note era jazz pics, which were used as press shots and lp covers

What a track!

This is a version of the Marvin Gaye classic by Brazilian super group Azymuth (brazilian music aficionado's and people who have seen brazilintime know whats up) , I play the 12" of this out quite a bit, and if i get enough responses to get me off my lazy ass to do a high quality rip from the vinyl it shall be done!

This is now around 12 or so months old and i just realized i had not posted it on here and a few people on here might be into it.
My friend needed to get a short clip together for his portfolio and asked if I could help him by making a beat for it, what you see below is what it evolved into, the looped footage was my idea, because i thought it fitted in with the whole loop based production i used for the project, the beat took around 2-3 hours to make from start to finish and the editing was all done in around 3-4 hours, so we are very happy with the footage we got from 6-8 hours work

those last 2 are rar files because they are trackmarked.

this was done a few years ago for a record store here in adelaide, its all hip hop, has heaps of instrumentals because it was meant to be a promo thing with mc's guesting on it but there was beef so it never happened.
